UDR StaffA small
professional staff carries out the daily
operations of Utah Dispute Resolution and
coordinates a large group of volunteers who
provide mediation services. UDR's staff members
include:
Nancy McGahey,
Executive Director Nancy
McGahey is the Executive Director for Utah Dispute
Resolution. She received her initial mediation
training in New Mexico in 1988. Since that time,
she has mediated disputes in a variety of
contexts, including family, divorce, co-parenting,
relationship, victim-offender, workplace, small
claims, and civil matters. Nancy is listed on the
court-annexed ADR Roster and mediates for the
Co-Parenting Mediation Program. She is a member of
the Association for Conflict Resolution and the
Utah Council for Conflict Resolution. Nancy holds
two Masters degrees in interpersonal communication
and training from the University of New Mexico,
and completed a post-graduate certificate from the
University of Utah in Alternative Dispute

Rachelle
Geary, Office Manager Rachelle Geary joined UDR's staff
as Office Manager in September 2007. Rachelle
completed Basic and Domestic Mediation training
through Utah Dispute Resolution in 2004 and
refreshed her skills by attending these workshops
again in 2007. She is currently studying to
complete an Associate's Degree at Salt Lake
Community College. Rachelle's background in
coaching sales and communication supports her role
as Office Manager. She looks forward to expanding
her knowledge and experience in the mediation
field and feels grateful to be part of UDR's

Programs Russ Osguthorpe manages UDR's Court Mediation
Program, which includes small claims, small claims
appeals, and the law and motion calendars. Russ
holds a B.S. degree in Anthropology from the
University of Utah and has completed the
Postgraduate ADR certificate program at the
University of Utah, 1995. He has specialized
mediation training in employment, divorce,
personal injury, labor, consumer/merchant,
victim/offender, landlord/tenant, medical and

Coordinator Lynette Wendel is UDR's Training Coordinator.
Her rich professional background in education,
sales, and marketing will be an asset to this
position. An avid volunteer, Lynette assists UDR's
Small Claims Court Program, works with the
Disaster Services program at the American Red
Cross, and serves on the City Ordinance Review
Committee with the City of Taylorsville. Lynette
holds a BA in Psychology from Eastern Illinois
University and completed Basic Mediation Training

Manager Evie Brinkerhoff oversees UDR's Ogden office and
northern Utah programs. Evie received a B.A. in
Political Science from Weber State University and
a J.D. from the J. Rueben Clark Law School at BYU.
While at Law School, she completed basic and
domestic mediation training and served internships
at the mediation center at BYU and with the Office
of the Guardian ad Litem in Second District.
Evie is a court-qualified basic and domestic
mediator in Utah. She has worked in the field of
domestic violence as a crisis worker and victim

Youth Program
CoordinatorNoreen Roeca
coordinates UDR's Youth Program in Salt Lake City.
She holds a B.S. degree in Social Behavioral
Science and Health from the University of Utah and
an M.S. degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from
Utah State University. Noreen has prior experience
working with a diverse segment of the population
through the State Office of Rehabilitation. She
also has extensive background in project
management. Noreen completed Basic and Domestic
Mediation training through Utah Dispute
